THE GOAL

  • Help you build the best founding team possible to make your entrepreneurial pursuit or innovation a success.
  • Assemble teams around the most viable tech and social impact innovations and ventures that have yet to come out of the Columbia University community.
  • Bring your best ideas, skillset and passion. Get ready to meet the co-founder who will help make it a reality.

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Any current student at any school within Columbia University!
  • This is a multi-disciplinary | multi-school program open to innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and problem solvers of all types looking to build or become part of a team to make an impact!
  • The event is free and inclusive of all schools and skillsets.
  • Highly encourage to apply ASAP as space is limited.*

THE PLAN

  • You  bring your ideas, passions, and expertise to an intensive weekend workshop.
  • Participants will collectively peer-select the highest potential ventures/innovations and stack them with the best possible founding teams.
  • As the adage goes, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and this is exactly what Startup Formation is about – early stage teaming with a focus on building and scaling something amazing.

THE PROGRAM

Featured Participants

  • Over the course of one weekend (April 1-3, 2016), we will work with you to further conceptualize your ideas and ventures, round out necessary team functions, and fill in the missing pieces to take things to the next level.
  • The schedule includes an evening networking event on Friday, April 1st, followed by two full days of hands-on workshops, open forum discussions, with  prominent  influencers from Vimeo, Enigma.io, Mpowerd, RallyBus, SiteCompli  and many others within NYC and Columbia entrepreneurial ecosystems.
  • There are no requirements to apply, and all years/degrees at Columbia and Barnard are welcome.
