CAGE: Research & Due Diligence
This is for alumni and current students who seek practical, hands-on experience conducting due-diligence of unique early-stage investment opportunities for interested alumni angel investors.
Qualifications
Ability to dive into valuable research databases to critically analyze and qualify an investment opportunity. Summarize the value-proposition.
Screen heavy inbound applications for investment and deal-flow. Seek opinion of advisors within prospective ventures industry sector and validate business model and assumptions.
Provide an overview of how the influence and expertise of the alumni network specifically will add value to the investment opportunity, build its potential and mitigate risk of early stage investment within a particular venture.
CAGE: Director of Community Engagement
Communicate investment opportunities to interested alumni angel investors, mentors or subject matter expertise relevant to the space, worldwide.
Qualifications
Strong skill set in facilitating engagement from Columbia alumni angel investors and advisors in NYC and abroad.
Facilitate and coordinate a consistent program of scheduled events, offline and online, to showcase the investment opportunity.
Strong skills in digital marketing/outreach across social networks announcing opportunities to consider, and promote the progress and achievements of CAGE investments.
